Meet the Readers: Icarian

For men in Japan, wearing fundoshi is a traditional activity. Outside of Japan, many people (including myself) discovered fundoshi through pictures, articles, or the internet. Inspired to try it for ourselves, we learn to tighten Japan’s historic loincloth and to pay tribute to its rich cultural heritage.

In recent years, I’ve been honored to learn that some of you have learned to tie a fundoshi through reading this blog. It is truly gratifying to know that others have found the path to a fundoshi lifestyle here, and I pledge to continue spreading the word.

For the first post published in 2022, I was privileged to have a conversation with Icarian, a fundoshi enthusiast residing in Sweden. You can read our conversation after the page break.

Meet the Readers: Fundoshiguy & susushi999

susushi999

As I'm sure followers of this blog already know, reader interactions are my very favorite content to share. If I could only blog reader submissions for the rest of the year it would be amazing!

There's a link in the page navbar that initiates your own photos appearing right here in these venerable pages ;)

Here are two fundoshi enthusiasts I started following on Twitter: @susushi999 and @fundoshiguy. Drawn in by their posts, I reached out and asked if they might enjoy being featured here at Fundoshi4All.

I encourage everyone to follow them and see more of their content! Find pictures and their fundoshi experiences in their own words after the jump! Let's go:

Meet the Readers: Sakda

IG: lionsakda

I can't think of a better way to finish the year than by sharing pictures from one of the blog's readers, Sakda, wearing his fundoshi while relaxing and playing among breathtaking scenery. It was a pleasure to get to know Sakda recently, and ask about some of his thoughts.

The pictures he sent are spectacular. How nice it would be, to meet and talk with a handsome man wearing fundoshi in a green forest pool!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year filled with good fortune. Thank you for making this blog a part of your life this year. I look forward to another year of sharing pictures and experiences!

And now, more Sakda!

Reader Pics!

Over the years that I've been keeping this blog, the number of photos on the Internet featuring fundoshi has mushroomed. Interest in fundoshi has swelled. I  used to just find the same few dozen images over and over, but today there is a wealth of fundoshi imagery blossoming all across the web. From professional models to selfies, every day I see pictures I've never seen before.

By far my favorites are those that readers submit to this blog. Nothing makes me feel more validated than receiving an email with pictures attached, along with your kind words of encouragement.

This week, in honor of LGBTQ+ pride, I'm featuring a selection of reader submissions from over the past ten years. Would you like to see yourself on the Fundoshi 4 All! blog? If you'd like submit your pictures, see the link in the tool bar at the top of the page.

Happy PRIDE!

Health and Wellness Check-In

I don't write as often as I used to for this blog. I usually prefer to let the pictures do the talking. However I know that no matter where you live in the world, the last few months have changed life dramatically. Many of us are sheltering in place, under government orders to socially distance from other people, or we have had our work lives seriously disrupted due to COVID-19.

I want to take a moment and reach across whatever oceans lay between us and express my unity with each of you as we struggle with the new situation this virus has brought to our lives. If you have fallen sick, or had loved ones who have died, I want to wish healing for you. I want you to know how profoundly sad I am for the loss of precious lives each day. Many of us are cut off from friends, families, and coworkers. The people we care for the most are the people we need to avoid, to keep them safe. And to keep us all safe.

While we are isolated, or in quarantine, it's easy to lose track of the days, or to let our motivations slip. I'd like to engage in a project with you while we pass these difficult days: let's express our love of fundoshi together.

Please feel welcome to share your photos with the readers of this blog. Show us your fundoshi, but also please share a little bit about how you're doing, how you're feeling, and how you're dealing with the challenges of the pandemic. Be seen. We may not be able to gather in public, but we can gather here and share our interest in fundoshi, while also sharing in some precious community.

You're always welcome to email me, to talk or to share pictures. Here's how to contact me.

I'm thinking of your safety and health in the days ahead of us, and praying for us all in my own special way. I love you!

Some Favorites Part 3 - Reader Submissions Edition

This week's post is all images that have been seen here before, with one notable difference: these are all images of you!

I sifted through nine years of reader submissions and picked out a batch of favorites... definitely not ALL my favorites, there are too many!! I will have to post future installments with more favorite reader pics.

Thank you for the kind permission to host these images at Fundoshi 4 All!

If you're a reader who would like to see your own photos on the blog, you can send them to me, just click on the "Submit" tab on the page header. I look forward to seeing you in fundoshi!

The Best of Reader Submissions 2018

Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate Christmas! And, Happy Holidays to all! May the coming year be filled for you with peace, happiness, and pleasant surprises.

2018 didn't have quite as many reader submissions but they were all excellent. Plus, there was a last minute burst of submissions so there are going to be several reader image debuts in this post! I'm looking forward to another flood of new submissions in 2019.

On a sober note, 2018 was a hard year. A rollercoaster even. Speaking personally, there were upheavals and fallen comrades. Globally there were tragedies, violence and strife. Be gentle with one another as we embark on our next, hopefully brighter chapter.

Now who wants to see your fellow readers decked out in their fundoshi?

Reader Submission: lb1967spain

As you may already know, my very favorite chapters to post in The Book Of Fundoshi are reader submissions. This week a Tumblr friend lb1967spain shared these wonderful black and white images with me and graciously allowed the Fundoshi4All blog to give them their international debut:

Nicely Done Fundoshi

To start things off this week, I received a great anonymous submission (above).

"I first tried fundoshi in the late 80's/early 90's. I bought my first one from International Male/Undergear."

Anonymous submissions are always welcome,  just visit this link and read a little bit of my gibberish for guidelines. You can also use your real name, a nickname, a code name, or some other way to identify yourself. Readers like to hear a little bit about how you enjoy fundoshi, too... I know I do!

Click through to see a collection of others enjoying life in their fundoshi.

Reader Submission: Giodol

It's a pleasure to unveil these images from a recent tumblr acquaintance. Tom a.k.a. Giodol is a fundoshi appreciator who has been wearing rokushaku fundoshi for a year. I'm looking forward to more from his tumblr, I'm a big fan of his photographic style!

Best of 2016 Reader Submissions

[ UPDATE: I improved this entry, which was initially posted in bit of a rush, by adding all the reader's names to the photo sets -- an essential detail. I'm in the process of adding tags to every reader submission so it's easier to navigate and see all of each reader's submissions. ]

Hello 2017! I hope everyone had a nice New Year celebration. I'm excited to bring you lots more fundoshi content this year. One of the things I'm especially keen to do is publish even more original content created by readers, such as the outstanding reader submissions I received in 2016 and previous years. You can see the full posts by clicking that link.

Below is a collection of submissions from last year that give a taste of the variety represented by F4A!'s readership:

Reader Submissions: ShyC and Samuel

Fundoshi4All! probably wouldn't have been around this long without an amazing support network of fundoshi enthusiasts from all over the globe. A long time ago when this was just a fledgling blog and I wasn't sure if I would be able to find others interested in fundoshi, a few people stepped forward and shared their experiences and stories, along with original content they had created. ShyC has been along on this journey with me for several years now. Like me, he makes a lot of his own fundoshi. He also creates original undergarments and fetish gear out of re-purposed fabric and other items. A creative, kinky mind sits on his sexy shoulders!

I'm pleased to share a trove of images he sent me earlier this month! Included with the fundoshi pictures are a couple of his handmade creations. The last image is a dark blue langot he made. I think everyone knows how fascinated I am with langots! Following ShyC's photos are some spectacular images of another reader, Samuel.

This is also the last scheduled post for 2016. I hope everyone will have a wonderful new year! I look forward to sharing more with you in 2017.

Meet The Readers: Lan and SG Neo, Part 2

This week I'd like to feature more reader submissions. I hope these two excellent photo sets will trigger a wave of new entries of readers wearing their fundoshi!

First this week is Lan, who has shared these images of his sensuous body tucked into various white and patterned fundoshi. He and I have developed a friendship over the last several months across a great distance, united by our love of fundoshi. I think it's easy to see his sexiness in these images, but I'd like to add that what's inside his body is just as appealing. There's several more images of Lan after the page break!

Meet The Readers: SG Neo and Euphoria

I'm sure everyone knows this already, but I love receiving reader submissions and seeing who is out there wearing and enjoying fundoshi. I've been getting some excellent photos from friends scattered across the web and the world, and I'm excited to share two of them with you this week.

Meet The Readers: Nenja and Bruno Part 2

Everyone knows my favorite posts are reader submissions! Last week we got a great batch of photos from Bruno. This week we have a brand new batch of photos from Nenja, in blue this time and showing off some impressive tackle... and we have a second set of photos from Bruno, this time of a more rawly explicit sort!

Let's start with these great images from Nenja:

You can see an earlier set of pictures from him here. Read on to see his newest set after the break!

Meet The Readers: Bruno

Once more, I am proud to present a fantastic reader submission from France! Bruno recently began wearing fundoshi and langota, and quickly integrated it into his other sensual and fetish practices. While his English is not fluent, neither is my French! We both worked at it and were able to communicate, and the results are stunning!

"I discover fundoshi by your profile on fetlife and after by your blog. I like fundoshi with a knot on the back for put a rope it is one I prefer. since I know fundoshi I just wear it or langota too sometime.
I like do shibari or kinbaku it is exicting. I like drink china tea. I like be in my little garden.
I give you some picture with new fundoshi i do myself you can put on your blog."

I am honored to just that! Enjoy a wealth of sensuous images after the break!

2015 Reader Submissions Revisited

For me the best part of operating this blog!

2015 was a banner year for outstanding picture submissions and for getting to know other fundoshi-wearers a little better. I think it's very worthwhile to take a look back at a few pics from each submission, starting with Joseph.
