New Years Eve!
It's a tradition throughout a lot of Asia to wear red underwear on New Years, for good luck in the coming year. No doubt red fundoshi (akafun) is also good luck -- fundoshi in general and red fundoshi in particular are considered "power underwear" for important meetings, job interviews, signings and ceremonies. This tradition is widespread throughout humanity -- don't you feel better when you're wearing your nicest underwear? Or an elegantly-cinched fundoshi? I know it makes me sit up straighter, walk taller, and in general feel sexier and more virile and manly. Let's make a secret pact: when you go out tonight to toast champagne with friends, or to watch the ball drop, or just to hang out somewhere, wear a fundoshi. Take some time to tie it just perfectly (in case you get lucky!) If you have red, wear red. But I think white, black, or patterned will also do. I'm trying to decide between orange and burgundy myself...

2012 Fundoshi Of The Year!
There have been many, many well displayed fundoshi discovered (uncovered?) this year -- and many many more to come next year I'm positive! I hope you're already dreaming of all the fundoshi-tying and untying you'll do next year. I thought this photo series did a superb job of showing off fundoshi, in a naturally sensuous way.

Fundoshi Show-Offs

I'd like to thank all the Fundoshi 4 All readers, new readers and old readers alike, for making this site such a fun -- and even educational, occasionally -- project! It's been great to get to know all of you, hear about your fundoshi experiences, trade ideas and even debate. I hope you're giving at least one person their very own brand new fundoshi for the holidays! Or maybe you're giving them your body, wrapped up snug in a fundoshi for them to gleefully unwrap?
This is an especially naughty post, so if you're not feeling like having your nice clean holiday cheer sullied, maybe skip this one? Otherwise, I hope you're having a fantastic time with friends and loved ones, and please remember to be kind to others every single day of the year!

Naughty Or Nice?
We probably all have different ideas of what "naughty" and "nice" are. Maybe they even cross over into a blurry middle ground. But with the holidays fast approaching I thought I'd present you with a bunch of photos and let you decide which list to put them on.
Who's nicest? Who's naughtiest? How come? What sort of present would you give your favorite from the photos below, and who would get a good switching from you? There are no rules and no right answers, so take a break from holiday stress and enjoy!

Fundoshi For The Holidays
Wrapping things up seems to be in the air around this time of year, and while most of it consists of gift wrap and ribbons, I recommend wrapping yourself up in a fundoshi and giving yourself to someone! Or letting them practice their wrapping skills on you. It needn't be snowflake fabric or anything like that -- feel free to wear whatever color or pattern you'd like.
Fundoshi 4 All has been an active site just a little over two years! During that time we've met lots of new friends and fellow fundoshi-enthusiasts, and traveled through all sorts of clean, questionable, naughty, and downright dirty aspects of fundoshi culture. If you're at a loss for what to give anyone this year -- even if it's just for a stocking stuffer -- consider giving the gift of fundoshi. Truly a gift that keeps on giving. It's a simple and affordable thing to make even if you don't have a crafty bone in your body... just pick up three yards of a thin, soft fabric from the fabric store and tear it lengthwise into strips that are about a foot wide. Done! These fundoshis could be included with other presents, rolled up and tied with string for party favors, or even be the wrapping themself! If you don't celebrate the holidays, it can just be a thoughtful inexpensive "thinking of you (in a snug loincloth!)" token, or just a gift you give yourself. For 20 bucks or so you can outfit yourself with a whole new fundoshi wardrobe.
I know I've recommended it before, here's a great fabric to make a fundoshi from: http://www.fabric.com/creativity-headquarters-free-pattern-downloads-tropicana-maxi-skirt-pattern-gauze-fabric-island-breeze-gauze-fabric.aspx
If the recipient needs some pointers on how to tie a fundoshi, you could show them how! Or point them to the clean, safe tutorial at fundoshiphile.blogspot.com. While you're at it, share the FundoshiPhile site with your friends, contacts, followers on twitter, or facebook friends. Everyone enjoys learning about fundoshi!
Thank you, everyone, for making this site so much fun and for being fearless fundoshi wearers/warriors! It's great to get to know you, and see you wrapped up tight in your fundoshi.
And now, pictures!
