Black And White Fundoshi Photopgraphy

Black and white fundoshi photography lends a certain degree of agelessness.  It captures folds and shadows, and accentuates the difference between the snowy cloth and tanned skin.  Whether vintage or contemporary, monochrome shots of fundoshi-clad bodies bare their subjects in a unique manner, transmitting raw essence and stripping away extra information.  Race is blurred, and the simple poetry of shadows draws upon the male and female forces to amplify the eroticism and the play of light on the subject in an elevated way.  Color film, snapshots, video -- these all catch the moment but often miss the atmosphere.  Only polaroids, really, among the color formats, seem capable of teasing out the emotional heft of a moment.  Let's all pledge to contribute some black-and-white (or polaroid!) pictures to Fundoshi 4 All in the coming months!  Take advantage of the summer sun, of morning light, of those shadows your slatted blinds throw, or branches, or the ripples that light reflects off of the surface of water.  Wrap up in your best fundoshi, grab a friend to take the shots, and enjoy the music of photography!

Many of these are simple, some are more elaborate and staged.  There are no rules, really.

some very exciting photos here, and I particularly like the older photos. It's interesting that all these gents wear their cocks up, and I guess this does give a smoother shape round the balls, but I like wearing my cock down - anyone else?

Personally I wear mine up, mostly for a flatter/smoother appearance under street clothes and also more comfortable erections. But that's me. Also, that's just the way I learned -- and from watching how tight they tie festival loincloths, it's probably the traditional way; it keeps your cock and balls close to your body and safe from harm and also smooths out the appearance, which is probably more socially acceptable when in public or mixed company.

have you seen the costume for the new Batman film - not only is his leather codpiece rather pronounced, they have given it sufficient detail to a cock and balls. Very exciting. I've always wanted to see Batman's cock.

Maybe I'm something of a closet exhibitionist but I let my cock hang down most of the time. It's just more comfortable and I like the bulge that my fundoshi accentuates. An erection is well, different. It's the beast struggling to get free and spread my seed but everything works out. Also, by tying it lower, I can get a bit of pubic hair over the top if I want and it's for that reason that I started trimming to look neat. At least in the "west" we make a big deal out of a woman's top assets but we males are supposed to pretend what's between our legs doesn't exist. I think we need to celebrate our genitalia for the incredible equipment it is along with its pleasure and life creating potential. So when I'm on the beach, there it is, folks. I'm male, virile and proud of it. These photos really speak to that spirit.

Well said! When I was growing up, we had a pool in the backyard and I would just about live in my Speedos all summer long into my teenage years. Plus wearing a speedo was a good excuse for adjusting oneself. And there was no being self conscious about displaying the bulge.
