This would certainly be a great way to liven up a fundoshi party!
Look at all the smiles, wet bodies, and translucent fundoshis! A nice hot cup of sake or two afterward and some clambering out of wet loincloths would no doubt finish off the party with a flourish. Events like these tend to be community-building and male bonding in nature; releases of pent-up energy in a positive way that expands goodwill and warms hearts. We could definitely learn something from this aspect of Japanese history and tradition -- instead of isolating ourselves from one another, we should get half-naked and frolic about in cold water; social barriers erased, fun at the forefront, shame and self-doubt left on the shore with our clothes.

As the weather warms up I will definitely be adding this to my next fundoshi party. We can all get in the pool and splash around like a bunch of boys just for the fun of it. Then we can all untie ourselves and hang out naked while our fundoshis go through the washer and dryer. We may even swap. A very elegant way of getting a bunch of guys naked in a non-threatening atmosphere. Gotta try this.
It just looks like people are having a blast...
darn, I want to be there and join in. Oh the joys of a wet well filled fundoshi.

What a great event to attend! People in simple garb having simple, unapologetic, free-of-repression fun. All become the same, irrespective of social standing, financial status or other barriers and stratification that society imposes on itself. It also brings forth observations on the fundoshi itself. It is at once simple and humble (a loincloth, after all) at is simultaneously an erotic adornment, drawing one's attention to that which it seeks to conceal, and decorating their buttocks, framing them with twists of white fabric. Charming and beautiful. If someone throws a party like this, I'd love to attend!
i confess though that at such a party I would be bulging priapically out of my fundoshi from the word go....
Likewise. That would just add to the fun! Imagine a large group of men clad in wet fundoshi, all with throbbing bulges. What a party!
Lots of parties have dress codes! This would be a great dress code for a party.
Absolutely. Everyone shows up in white fundoshi, and leaves in someone else's.

Please count me in on the party... Ever since I seen the ads for the fudoshi bars in Toyko, I think a night out with the guy in fundoshi would be great. Oh GearGuyNY the thought of going in one fundoshi and leaving in someone eles if a very hot idea. Wish I thought of that
