Leap Day And the Perfectly Pocketed Perineum!

One of the best viewing angles for the fundoshi is from below and behind; a perspective that reveals the tucked-in and trussed taint, the mounded roundness of the root, the fundoshi cloth's perfect pocketing and proud display of the muscular, nerve-rich perineum:

My partner has commented on this and likes to see me bend over just for this reason. When I'm working on the planters in the back yard is her favorite time to get a good look there. I enjoy the wonderful sensations of this tight, elegant wrap at this very sensitive area. It just feels good all day! Being bent over doing something and suddenly feeling this area stroked through the cloth is truly amazing.

mmmmmm.... love the feeling, too. I like the way the cloth keeps my cheeks apart and the way they sometimes slide over each other when I walk....

that twist of cloth right behind the balls feels sensational! And looks even better. It's a nice place to be touched (or licked) by a partner too.

I really like sliding that twist down behind my nuts and then making two more up by the "T" before wrapping to the side. It really feels good all day but when I do it, I have the nice feeling of my nuts getting ready for the day. It's very supportive and just feels wonderful.

it pushes your balls forward just a bit, accentuating the bulge from the front AND from down below. I love seeing someone in a fundoshi from behind when you can see also the lower curve of the front pouch between their buttocks.

I totally agree. A nicely tied fundoshi really accents a guy's equipment and puts it on display in addition to being really comfortable. I also enjoy the sensation of wearing nothing else and bending over to do something and feeling my package hanging nicely. They got it right 1000 years ago but here is something modern the Japanese also got totally right. :) http://www.toydemon.com/Tenga-Products.html

I am still a fundoshi newbie. But I love the way the twisted cloth feels and looks,on my backside. As I move it tugs at me reminding me its there. I have worn it to work and I have a very phyical job. (I work on a private yacht) So in and out of small boats in and out of water, sadly with boardshorts on over the fundoshi. It still feels awsome. Just can't let myself get to excited. Or I tend to grow out of them a lil bit. Maybe to cut them a bit wider then 10"

LR.... post some photos! Sounds like great stuff. Perhaps you could start fundoshi as a new standar appearal

I began 2012 with a resolution to wear nothing but fundoshi every day for the entire year. I have all kinds of colors and patterns for variety but this is part of my daily uniform and I love it. At home, I wear nothing but this on warm days for lounging, relaxing, working in the back yard and it's comfortable and supportive and just feels very good. When I look at the cost of underwear these days and the fact I can make one of these for about $1.50, there is no contest. I feel masculine, sexy and comfortably different. Enjoy your fundoshi and this unique brotherhood of guys who are discovering it!

I am quickly following your lead John. I have been wearing fundoshi everyday. I just got back from a freelance assingment in the caribbean. I bought some different fabric while I was down there. Been making fundoshi's out of them. To Anonymous I don't know if it will become standard uniform. But its a fun way to havve support, while at work.

At a costume party last summer my boyfriend, 22, and a male friend of his, 19, decided to wear fundoshi. They were all joking around and everybody was having fun. The fundoshi worn by my boyfriend and his friend were extremely narrow and when they started prancing around and wrestling each other there was plenty of wardrobe malfunction. Everything that should be covered was in display at one time or another. But worse than that, after they were wrestling for a few minutes, they had full erections and this was something they could not conceal. My question is, what could they have done in these circumstances without making it too obvious?

Try a wider cloth to begin with? The extra with will gather around the "pouch" area of the fundoshi and create a lip of fabric that will keep everything contained. I usually use a 12-14 inch wide strip of cloth, although 8 inches is (usually) enough if you prefer a skimpier look.

Tying things snugly also helps avoid unwanted loosening or displays of a fundoshi's contents. A fundoshi is held on by friction, so it needs to be tied at least tight enough that slippage isn't possible.

Of course none of that matters in the moment when a fundoshi that's narrow or loosely tied is coming undone, or you're flashing your piece at party-goers. Generally, if people aren't uptight (and I'm guessing if they were wearing fundoshi in the first place, it wasn't too formal of a party), a little flesh and a little flush aren't a big deal -- often that's when people "wander off" for a while to explore their excitement. But excusing yourself to re-tie your fundoshi, throwing on a cover-up, a robe, or pants would all be good ways to shift gears if people were feeling awkward at all.

Depending on the mood of the party, this actually sounds pretty fun to watch for me -- I'd bet they weren't the only two who got a little aroused!

This posting is what prompted me to finally make the drive to a fabric store and pick up some cloth suitable for fundoshi. I brought home some unbleached cotton muslin and some navy blue gauze. It took a little experimentation to get the right width for my small frame, and to get the hang of tying it right, but once I did, I understood what everyone was talking about. The look and feel makes anyone instantly understand how they've lasted for 1200 years. The sensation on my shaved skin as I move around is incredible, sometimes to the point of distraction. You've definitely made me a convert! Now if I can make a couple out of Nomex I could wear them to work...

That's excellent! So glad you have discovered the pleasure of fundoshi-wearing. Learning how to wear it is actually fun, and gathering confidence about wearing it underneath clothes for daily activities or even letting friends or lovers see you in your fundoshi comes soon enough. How wide did you end up making yours?

GearGuyNY said...

I experimented with 8, 10 and 12 inches. I have a small frame so I think anything wider would be too bulky to try to twist. I'm also pretty well-endowed, so I need something wide enough to hold everything in, especially considering that the feeling of wearing one can get me...exited. I think the width will change depending on what I'm doing. Can't wait to see the tan lines it'll make.

fundoshi tan lines are great -- the bare minimum! Can't wait to see some photos of you filling out your fundoshi.
