get wrapped up in Japan's oldest menswear! Fundoshi (褌) is a simple length of fabric worn as a loincloth in Japan for over 1,200 years. 褌を締めてかかる
Polka dots! Great! But the traditional white suits the young Japanese man perfectly. It fits him very well, too.
I like the dots too. It's a very good look and I really can't explain why. The body hair is also very sexy on that guy. Gotta find some fabric with dots. :)
thought you'd like that one!
Spotted material = my next fundoshi purchase :D (Last fundoshi purchase was some sky blue material, like one of the gentlemen in a photo in an older update)
I'll try to do a post of just polka-dotted fundoshis in the near future! And let us know if you track down this fabric, it seems to be a popular look.
Will do :) My local haberdasher used to sell a similar fabric with slightly smaller spots, but when I was in the other day, they had sold out, so I went for the sky blue instead. Another similar material they had was of a similar polka-dotted print, but the dots were more like a six sided asterisk/small flower outline, which I'm not 100% convinced will look good. I will keep an eye out for a re-stocking of the other fabric though, and would be happy to pick up lengths for folks if anyone else is interested :)
nice taiwanese boy in white fundoshi :)
