This is the best demonstration on how to tie a fundoshi that I've ever seen. After watching this I realized I've been tying mine wrong. You should put this video in your Simple Wearing Instructions part. Thanks for posting.
Part of the fun of wearing a fundoshi is individualizing the way it is tied. I'm new to it but already I have developed some tying tricks which work for me, provide the fit I want and are kind of a signature. The fun is in getting ideas on how to do it differently and then trying those ideas or just mixing it up some days. Tying an attractive three way knot on the back is always fun.
1:21 to put on your underwear every morning plus the number of times you may have to go to the bathroom? I think I will stick to western underwear, although it is nice to know what to do in a pinch if you don't have any underwear available.
As far as underwear vs. fundoshi goes, I'm a switch-hitter myself. Fundoshi have some great features that underwear don't have, and vice versa. Plus, it's not necessary to take your fundoshi completely off to go to the bathroom -- not for #1 at least -- you just push the pouch over to one side, then tuck yourself back in when done!

Good idea! Although don't be so sure you were doing it wrong -- there's something like 100 different regional variations on how to wear fundoshi.
