I've been swimming in fundoshi twice. The second time, I wore fundoshi under my swim trunks and slipped them off once in the water. If a private beach is available, maybe you could wear fundoshi there?
For all the years I've lived in Japan it has never dawned on me to wear fundoshi as a swim suit. I wonder if I could get away with wearing one at the water park?
That said, recently I went to an onsen (hot spring) resort that was famous from a popular movie a number of year back and that the emperor had once visited. One attraction of the place was a large, rectangular co-ed pool that was just deep enough and long enough for swimming. I got the impression nudity was not allowed in the pool so I wore a fundoshi while enjoying some swimming there.

Yes, I would, because I already do it!!! :D
I would love to visit that beach Joshua!
Would love to if they permit them here. Like to feel what it like swimming in them and most importantly they create better tan lines. :)

I would dearly enjoy visiting an onsen and wearing fundoshi.
