I always have trouble making fundoshi; the fabric is quite unwieldy when it's so large, even if I have folded it. Do you have any tips that could make the process easier?
Try a very lightweight fabric, such as gauze, voile, or sarashi. A narrower cloth also helps keep bulk down. I make my own fundoshi about 10 inches wide, for a 34 inch waist. Twisting the thong portion also helps keep things slim. Keep things snug as you tie your fundoshi, but not tight. Looseness is less comfortable, I find. I hope that is helpful!
