Fundoshi Patterns

One of the beauties of wearing a fundoshi is its expressive possibilities. Whether you prefer classic white, bright red, traditional Japanese textile patterns, or playful contemporary prints; the fundoshi you tie can become an extension of your inner spirit. There's floral patterns, abstract colors and shapes, geometric designs, all manner of bold or subdued prints. What's your favorite color or pattern to wear?

There are so many possibilities. Click continue for a collection of all types of men showing off their patterned loincloths.

Fundoshi Front and Back

This week I've selected some images of the front pouch of the fundoshi, as well as its roped thong-like back part. Which side of the fundoshi is business, and which is pleasure?

Some Favorites Part 3 - Reader Submissions Edition

This week's post is all images that have been seen here before, with one notable difference: these are all images of you!

I sifted through nine years of reader submissions and picked out a batch of favorites... definitely not ALL my favorites, there are too many!! I will have to post future installments with more favorite reader pics.

Thank you for the kind permission to host these images at Fundoshi 4 All!

If you're a reader who would like to see your own photos on the blog, you can send them to me, just click on the "Submit" tab on the page header. I look forward to seeing you in fundoshi!

Horimono Showcase

Fundoshi isn't always worn to display full-body tattoos; sometimes these impressive human canvases stand fully nude, or in briefs. See some gorgeous examples of horimono after the break!

Reader Submissions: Mark and lb1967spain

If you've been reading this blog for very long, you know reader-submitted photos are my favorite. It gives me a chance to see you in your natural environment, wearing fundoshi.

This week we have 2 great submissions. The first is from Mark, who wears a red fundoshi in the image above. After the jump break, Mark's pictures continue, the same bright red loincloth worn by his friend in the woods.

The Best of Reader Submissions 2018

Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate Christmas! And, Happy Holidays to all! May the coming year be filled for you with peace, happiness, and pleasant surprises.

2018 didn't have quite as many reader submissions but they were all excellent. Plus, there was a last minute burst of submissions so there are going to be several reader image debuts in this post! I'm looking forward to another flood of new submissions in 2019.

On a sober note, 2018 was a hard year. A rollercoaster even. Speaking personally, there were upheavals and fallen comrades. Globally there were tragedies, violence and strife. Be gentle with one another as we embark on our next, hopefully brighter chapter.

Now who wants to see your fellow readers decked out in their fundoshi?
