Best of 2016 Reader Submissions

[ UPDATE: I improved this entry, which was initially posted in bit of a rush, by adding all the reader's names to the photo sets -- an essential detail. I'm in the process of adding tags to every reader submission so it's easier to navigate and see all of each reader's submissions. ]

Hello 2017! I hope everyone had a nice New Year celebration. I'm excited to bring you lots more fundoshi content this year. One of the things I'm especially keen to do is publish even more original content created by readers, such as the outstanding reader submissions I received in 2016 and previous years. You can see the full posts by clicking that link.

Below is a collection of submissions from last year that give a taste of the variety represented by F4A!'s readership:

Meet The Readers: Nenja and Bruno Part 2

Everyone knows my favorite posts are reader submissions! Last week we got a great batch of photos from Bruno. This week we have a brand new batch of photos from Nenja, in blue this time and showing off some impressive tackle... and we have a second set of photos from Bruno, this time of a more rawly explicit sort!

Let's start with these great images from Nenja:

You can see an earlier set of pictures from him here. Read on to see his newest set after the break!

Meet The Readers: Nenja

Some of my favorite images to post are reader submissions, and the latest proves to be quite educational! Pictured on the hips of Nenja  (念者) are two separate fundoshi: first a 6.5 inch (16.5 cm) wide stripe of cotton gauze. In the next set of pictures, he wears a ribbon of the same fabric about 4.5 inches wide (11.4 cm), just barely containing him. Then containment is breached with spectacular results!

Not only are these great pictures, but they illustrate what varying the width of your fundoshi achieves. Who would like to help select which of his pictures should go on the Reader Gallery page?
